Looking at cumulative data from 2023, brand-wise Maruti leads the rankings with 1.74 million sales (+7.9%), Hyundai with 596,741 (+8.0%), Tata with 550,871 (+4.6%), Mahindra with 432,371 (+29.9%) and Kia with 255,000 (+0.2%).
Toyota with 218,843 sales (+36.9%) ranks in 6th place, followed by Honda at 84,188 sales (-11.4%), MG -up 2 spots- with 56,902 sales (+18.4%), followed by Skoda with 48,755 new registrations (-9.3%) and Renault -down 2 spots- in 10th with 48,321 units sold (-44.5%).
Looking at specific models the Maruti Swift is the best seller being up 15.3% in sales growing 2 spots, followed by the Maruti Wagon R down 7.4%, losing the 1st spot.
