Portugal Best Selling Cars ranking 2018 dominated by the unchallenged Renault Clio with sales over the double than the second, the Nissan Qashqai, and the third, the Peugeot 208. Top premium model is the Mercedes A Class.
Despite with a more moderate speed, the market continued to grow and after improving 7.1% in the 2017 with 220.000 sales and additional 2.4% was gained in the 2018 with sales at 227.441. However, following the September WLTP introduction, the Q4 was almost negative and the start of the 2019 is seen with troubles while is likely that 2019 will end the ten years growth.
As far as the ranking of best-selling models in the 2018, the unchallenged leader is the Renault Clio with 13.592 sales (+6.7%) over the double than the second, the Nissan Qashqai, with 6.835 (+11.4%) and the third, the Peugeot 208, with 6.307 sales (-7.7%)
In fourth place the Renault Captur with 6.189 units (+3.1%) ahead of the Renault Megane with 5.795 (-14.8%), the Mercedes A Class with 5.667 and the Citroen C3 with 5.156 (-2.8%).
In eight place the Peugeot 2008 , up 4 spots, with 4.965 units (+6.5%) followed by the Peugeot 308 with 4.776 (+1.3%) and in 10th place the Volkswagen Polo with 4.329 (-14%).
