Spanish Cars Market in November speeded up in double digit, supported by ECB’s accommodative monetary policy and the lack of severe austerity measures for 2016. Renault shined.
Market Outlook
Domestic demand also continued to receive support from the ECB’s accommodative monetary policy and the lack of severe austerity measures for 2016. Although the new executive faces the task of having to drastically reduce the fiscal deficit by 2017, on 16 November the EC decided not to suspend EU funds to Spain—EUR 1.2 billion—for breaching EU budget rules in the past, which will provide the government with more room for fiscal maneuvering.
Meantime, the domestic cars market in November hit the 8th y.o.y. growth in a string accelerating in double digit.
According to data released by the ANIAC and the ANIACAM, the Spanish Associations of Car Manufacturers and Dealers, in the last month the total new car passengers sold have been 93066, up 14.0%.
Year to date sales had been 1.056.236, up 10.9%.
