Switzerland Best Selling Cars 2017 ranking presents many surprises, with the Volkswagen Tiguan advanced in the podium and the Fiat 500 in sixth place. The Mercedes GLC ranked 7th, best place worldwide.
Switzerland vehicles market in the last five years has been really stable with car passenger’s volume between the 300.000 and 330.000 units. According to data released by the Auto Suisse, the Association of local Automotive Importers, the car passenger’s sales have been stable across the entire 2017, ending at 314.088 sales (-1.1%).
Looking at the best seeling models in the market, at the end of the 2017 the leader changed and was the Skoda Octavia with 10.017 sales (-14.5%) ahead of the 2016 leader, the Volkswagen Golf with 9.500 units (-21.6%) and the Volkswagen Tiguan with 7.110 sales (+10.7%).
In fourth place the Volkswagen Polo with 5.295 (-18.7%) ahead of the Mercedes C Class with 4.496 units (-1.0%), the Fiat 500, up 10 spots, with 4.227 sales (+23.1%) and the Mercedes GLC, up 14 spots and hitting the best ranking worldwide, with 4.219 sales (+37.8%).
In eight placethe BMW X1, up 4 spots, with 4.178 (+14.3%) followed by the BMW Series 2 with 4.125 sales (-5.0%) and in 10th place the Audi A3 with 4.106 (+0.3%).
