USA Vehicles Sales recover in double-digit in 2023. Following the previous year fall at lowest in a decade, last year the industry reported 15.36 million sales (+12.4%) sustained by strong incentives to EVs models and economic growth.

Market Trend and Outlook

The American vehicles market in 2023 reaches 15.36 million sales (+12.4%). While, December registered 1.32 million sales (+5.0%).

Looking at cumulative data up to December 2023 brand-wise, Ford gains leadership with 1.90 million sales (+7.9%), followed by Toyota with 1.89 million new registrations (+10.0%) and Chevrolet in 3rd with 1.70 million units sold (+12.5%).

Honda maintains 4th position with 1.16 million sales (+31.3%), in front of Nissan -up 2 spots- in 5th with 834,091 sales (+22.2%), Hyundai at 796,511 (+11.1%), Kia with 782,463 sales (+16.3%) and Jeep -down 2 spots- in 8th with 641,166 new registrations (-6.3%).

Subaru falls 3 spots into 9th with 632,083 sales (+13.6%) and GMC -up 2 spots- closes the top 10 with 563,692 units sold (+8.9%).

Looking at specific models the Ford F-Series remains the best seller with a 14.8% increase in year-on-year volume, followed by the Chevrolet Silverado down 6.6%.

Tesla Model Y advanced in 6th place (up 3 spots).
