World Best Selling Pick Up in 2019 was led again by large American style models, while the best compact pickup is the “king of the desert”, the Toyota Hilux. Outstanding performances were scored by the Ram Pick-up (+17.4%) – up in second position – and the Ford Ranger (+32.3%).
The best-selling model ranking was still led by the Ford F-Series, which hit the milestone of 1 million sales in the 2017. US and Canada represent 98% of total sales. In 2019, the Ford F-Series registered 1.070.302 units (-1.1%).
In second place the Ram Pick–up gaining 17.4% from the previous year – selling 731.988 units, overtaking the Chevrolet Silverado which entered on a negative path, declining by 1.7% with sales at 642.641.
In fourth place the king of the desert, the Toyota Hilux, with 550.361 sales (-0.5%). Differently from the previous three models, the Hilux sales are distributed over 140 different markets, dominating entire areas in Africa, South America and Middle East.
In fifth place the Ford Ranger with 354.321 – surging 32.3% – followed by the Isuzu D-Max with 309.747 sales (-1.8%), the GMC Sierra with 293.064 (+3.8%), the Toyota Tacoma with 272.720 units (+1%), the Chevrolet Colorado with 148.847 (-12.4%) and in 10th place the Toyota Tundra with 122.672 (-6.7%).
