New Zealand Best Selling Car Ranking in 2025. The Toyota RAV4 climbed 1 spot in 1st, overtaking the Ford Ranger which fell into 2nd. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross surged 199.2% into 4th while the Honda Jazz dropped 58.5% into 35th.
Looking at YTD sales up to September 2025, the Toyota RAV 4 was still the best-selling car, holding a 7.6% market share (+18.8%).
The Ford Ranger -up 1 spot- ranked 2nd (-19.5%), ahead of the Toyota Hilux in 3rd (+14.2%).
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross -up 13 spots- ranked 4th (+199.2%), followed by the Mitsubishi ASX -up 1 spot- in 5th (+37.3%).
The Mitsubishi Outlander -up 1 spot- ranked 6th (+21.2%), followed by the Kia Seltos -up 1 spot- in 7th (+14.8%) and the Mitsubishi Triton -down 4 spots- in 8th (-28.3%).
At the bottom of the leaderboard, the Ford Everest -up 4 spots- ranked 9th (+39.2%) while the Nissan Navarra -up 2 spots- closed the Top 10 (+32.2%).
