Israel best selling cars ranking in 2018 breaks a new milestone, becoming the second country ever, after Japan, to be led by a hybrid model. Indeed the Hyundai Ioniq is on top of the list with a wide gap. Kia Niro advanced in 5th place.
In the 2018 the market kept the negative tone of previous year. The year ended with registrations at 267.477, leading to a fall in sales by 5%. This is the second decline in a row, considering the negative performance of the past year.
As far as concern the best-selling models ranking, the market is characterized for the success of the Hyundai Ioniq which in the 2017 landed in the market taking the outstanding sixth place with 7.198 sales, best rank in the World.

The demand for the Ioniq is really huge in this market and it is not a surprise that this hybrid took the leadership in the 2018 ranking, over doubling sales at 10.181 (+41.4%), well ahead of all others.
In second place the 2016 leader, the Kia Sportage, with 10.048 cars (-13.6%) followed by the 2017 market leader the, Kia Picanto with 7.598 units (-11.7%) and the Hyundai Tucson with 9.219 units (-8.7%).
In fifth place the Kia Niro with 8.344 (+122.6%) ahead of the Hyundai i10 with 7.784 (+26.7%), the Skoda Octavia with 6.634 (-23.4%) and the Toyota Corolla, with 5.812 sales (-36.3%).
In ninth place the Mitsubishi Outlander with 5.385 (-22.4%) and in 10th place the Toyota CH-R with 5.349 sales (+28.6%).
