Spain Best Selling Cars ranking in 2022 closes with a new leader, the SUV Hyundai Tucson, followed closely by the runner up Dacia Sandero.
The battle for leadership in the Spanish passenger car’s market was very tough with several models competing in narrow spaces. To put things into perspective the best selling car finished the year with 2.7% market share compared to 2.6% share of the second best.
This year’s the leader is the Hyundai Tucson, advancing one place with 21,985 sales (+3.4%) and securing an advantage over the runner up Dacia Sandero, in second with 20,782 sales (+1.8%).
Both overtook previous year’s leader, the Seat Arona, which lost two spots with 17,462 sales (-20.4%), followed closely by the Toyota Corolla with 16,998 (+0.1%), Volkswagen T-Roc with 16,595 (+3.8%) and Fiat 500 with 15,999 (+0.4%).
In seven place, the Toyota C-HR with 15,987 (+6.5%) followed by Peugeot 2008 with 15,615 (-19.6%), Kia Sportage with 15,261 (+49.1%) and Citroen C3 in 10th with 14,112 (-11.5%).
A rising star is the Toyota Yaris Cross, landing in 16th place with 12,766 sales.
