The Irish Car Market in 2022 totaled 105,483 sales, a 0.3% increase form the prior year. Q4 pushed down cumulative sales, with December at 209 new registrations falling for the 3rd month in a row (-46.0%). 

Looking a cumulative data from 2022 brand-wise, the leader remains Toyota with 16,072 sales (+15.2%), followed by Hyundai with 12,731 (+12.1%) overtaking Volkswagen with 11,778 sales (-7.2%).

Kia with 7,957 sales (+19.7%) jumps 2 spots into 4th position, pushing Skoda with 7,629 sales (-15.6%) into 5th and Ford with 5,074 (-32.1%) into 6th, while Peugeot remains in 7th with 4,710 new registrations (-11.9%).

Audi also jumps 2 spots in the rankings securing the 8th spot with 4,345 sales (+2.2%) and overtaking Nissan with 4,110 (-15.8%) and BMW with 4,096 sales (-8.2%), respectively in 9th and 10th position.
