Switzerland Best Selling Cars ranking in 2020 is led by the Skoda Octavia for the 4th consecutive year, while the Volkswagen Tiguan is outpaced by the Tesla Model 3, which reaches 2nd position.
In Switzerland, since 2017 the market is held by a new leader, the Skoda Octavia, which kept a stable market share throughout the entire last decade, always around 3%, but this year dropped down to 2.5%. Nevertheless, the Octavia keeps the market throne with 5.892 sales (-36.5%).
The Tesla Model 3 gained the second position – with 2.1% share and 5.051 sales – overtaking the Volkswagen Tiguan, which holds 2.1% market share with 4.965 units (-29.3%).
In fourth place we have the Volkswagen Golf -down 1 spot- with 4.182 sales (-36.6%) followed by the Audi Q3 – up 18 spots- with 4.041 sales (+38.4%), the Skoda Karoq -up 2 spots- with 3.663 sales (-15.7%) and the Mercedes A Class -down 1 spot- with 3.635 sales (-22.2%).
In eighth place we have the Mercedes GLC -down 3 spots- with 3.480 units (-26.6%), followed by the Mini Hatch entering the leaderboard with 3.379 units (+2.2%) and in 10th place the Volvo XC40 -up 20 spots- with 3.376 units (+25.1%).
