Denmark Best Selling Cars Ranking in 2025. The Skoda Elroq rose 187 spots into 1st, confirming the brand’s momentum. The Volkswagen ID.Buzz in 3rd also reported large gains while the Kia EV3 made its entrance into the Top 10.
The Danish passenger car market is characterized by small and compact vehicles, unlike the rest of the Scandinavian countries where larger and more expensive models dominate. This is due to the peculiarity of local taxation.
Looking at the Top 50 rankings up to August 2025, the best seller in Denmark became the Skoda Elroq -up 187 spots- with a 5.5% share, followed by the Volkswagen ID.4 -up 1 spot- in 2nd (+45.2%) and the Volkswagen ID.buzz -up 33 spots- in 3rd (+350.2%).
The Tesla Model Y -down 3 spots- ranked 4th (-39.3%), in front of the Volkswagen ID.3 -up 9 spots- in 5th (+113%), the Skoda Enyaq -up 2 spots- in 6th (+56.2%), the Volkswagen T-Roc -up 3 spots- in 7th (+43.9%) and the Audi Q4 -down 4 spots- in 8th (-29.7%).
The Kia EV3 surged 179 spots into 9th while the Cupra Formentor -up 24 spots- closed the Top 10 (+145%).
