Tunisian Vehicle Sales were flat in 2023. Total sales reach 55,975 units (+0.7%). Market regains the momentum after the previous yearlost. Suzuki moves up into 5th place (+59.8%).

Market Trend and Outlook

The Tunisian vehicle market in 2023 slightly grows by 0.7%, totalling 55,975 sales. Despite December being down 10.5% with 4,852 new sales.

Looking at cumulative data up to December 2023 brand-wise, Hyundai maintains 1st position with 6,775 sales (-9.9%), followed by Kia with 6,246 (+7.0%) and Toyota -up 1 spot- at 4,856 new registrations (+3.3%).

Peugeot down 1 spot into 4th with 4,696 sales (+10.5%), in front of Suzuki -up 3 spots- at 4,026 (+59.8%), Isuzu -down 3 spots- at 3,568 registrations (-28.0%) and Fiat -down 1 spot- in 7th with 3,423 units sold (+3.3%).

Volkswagen falls 1 spot into 8th position with 2,739 sales (+4.7%), followed by Mahindra -up 5 spots- at 2,189 registrations (+66.2%) and MG closing the Top 10 -up 1 spot- with 1,973 units sold (+16.8%).

Looking at specific models the Isuzu D-Max becomes the best seller despite losing 26.9% in year-on-year sales, followed by the Hyundai grandeur i10 down 46.1%.
