The Turkish vehicle market was one of the fastest growing worldwide in 2023. Total sales have been 1.24 million (+57.8%). December grew for the 16th consecutive month, with new sales reaching 158,653 (+37.7%).
Looking at new vehicles sales data up to December 2023, brand-wise the leader Fiat is still fiat with 193,622 sales (+32.2%), followed by Renault in second with 135,645 registrations (+36.1%), overtaking Ford in third with 102,380 units sold (+32.2%).
Volkswagen in 4th at 88,776 sales (+47.1%), followed by Peugeot -up 4 spots- at 78,632 (+140.7%), Opel -up 1 spot-vat 73,865 (+101.1%) and Citroen -up 3 spots- in 7th with 63,153 new light vehicle registrations (+119.0%).
Toyota falls 3 spots into 8th with 59,125 sales reported (+18.4%), followed by Hyundai -down 3 spots- with 58,738 units sold (+30.0%) and Dacia -down 2 spots- closing the top 10 with 41,339 sales.
