Denmark Best Selling Cars Ranking in 2025. The Skoda Elroq dethroned the Tesla Model Y and ranked 1st, followed by the Volkswagen ID.4. The Kia EV3 and the Renault R5 emerged as new contender, securing a top 10 spot.
The Danish passenger car market is characterized by small and compact vehicles, unlike the rest of the Scandinavian countries where larger and more expensive models dominate. This is due to the peculiarity of local taxation.
Looking at the Top 50 rankings in 2025, the best seller in Denmark became the Skoda Elroq -up 215 spots- with a 5.7% share, followed by the Volkswagen ID.4 in 2nd (+51.4%) and the Tesla Model Y -down 2 spots- in 3rd (-26.8%).
The Volkswagen ID.buzz -up 20 spots- ranked 4th (+263.4%), in front of the Skoda Enyaq -down 2 spots- in 5th (+5.9%), the Volkswagen ID.3 -up 2 spots- in 6th (+73.6%), the Audi Q4 -down 2 spots- in 7th (-9.8%) and the Volkswagen T-Roc -down 1 spot- in 8th (+23.5%).
The Kia EV3 surged 80 spots into 9th (+434.6%) while the Renault R5 -up 206 spots- closed the Top 10.
