New Zealand Best Selling Car in 2024 sees the Ford Ranger in 1st with 6,227 sales (+6.0%), followed by the Toyota RAV4 up 4.4%. MG 4 jumps 21 spots in the ranking.
Looking at cumulative sales up to June 2024, the Ford Ranger was the best-selling car, holding a 10.2% market share with 6,227 new sales (+6.0%).
In second position ranked the Toyota RAV4 with 6.9% share and 4,206 new registrations (+4.4%), ahead of the Toyota Hilux with 3,774 sales (-32.4%).
The Mitsubishi Triton gained 7 spots into 4th with 2,733 sales (+10.6%), followed by the MG4 -up 21 spots- with 2,351 new registrations.
Mitsubishi Outlander ranked in 6th with 1,689 sales (-9.1%), followed by the Mitsubishi ASX -up 5 spots- with 1,681 registrations (-5.3%) and the Honda Jazz -up 8 spots- at 1,590 units sold (+42.1%).
At the bottom of the leaderboard, the Suzuki Swift -down 2 spots- ranked in 9th with 1,414 sales (-45.8%) and the Kia Seltos close the Top 10 jumping 19 spots with 1,356 new registrations (+35.3%).
