Singapore Car Market increased significantly in 2024, with sales in August reaching 3,747 (+55.4%) and recording growth for the 9th consecutive months. YTD figures stood at 25,082 (+45.7%). All top 10 brands grew in double-digits.

Asean best selling cars ranking in 2024 was still dominated by the Toyota Hilux (-15-3%), followed by the Perodua Myvi (+2%). The Isuzu D-Max fell 1 spot into 3rd (-20.6%).

Indonesian Car Passenger Market in August 2024 fell for the 14th month in a row, registering 69,849 new sales (-14.6%). YTD figures reached 512,805, down 17.2% from the prior year. BYD climbed 17 spots and ranked 9th  while Chery grew 97.5% into 10th.   

Cambodia auto market is slightly up in 2024. Total sales in March reached 2,425 (+6.9%). Sales in Q1 up to 8,120 units.

Myanmar Vehicles Industry is fast growing in 2024. Large incentives to EV and the ban to ICE models moved the market to the collapse, but now it is recovering with YTD 2024 sales up 34.7%.

Malaysia's car market in 2021 lost 5.2% with 501,972 sales, reporting a very strong first half, followed by a very steep drop in Q3. Mitsubishi reports the best performance this year, gaining 90.9%.

Lao Vehicle Market kept growing in 2023. While at a moderate speed, the market continued the positive pathway. Sales were 22.320 (+2.3%), the best performance in 8 years. Although losing sales Toyota is still market leader.

Thailand best-selling cars ranking in 2019 saw the historical leader - the Toyota Hilux - back on top, overtaking the Isuzu D-Max. The Ford Ranger conquered the podium, but the Mazda2 and the Toyota Yaris were just a few units behind.

Brunei vehicles market grows despite the global pandemic affecting sales in almost every market. Indeed, Full Year 2020 sales have been 12.183, up 2.3% compared to 2019. Toyota remains the undiscussed leader holding 24.7% of market share.

Malaysian Vehicles Market in 2019 has reported a stable performance. Indeed, the full-year ended with 592.666 registrations, improving just 1% from the previous year. The leader Perodua held over 40% of share, while Proton jumped in 2nd place.
